While the IC-V85 provides a full 7 watts of output power, its 110mm*
body height is compact enough to allow for easy carrying.
* 411⁄32 in (projections
are not included)
Let the power of 7 watts extend your communications range. With its large
capacity Lithium-Ion battery pack, BP-227, the IC-V85/E provides a practical
7 hours* of operating time. Reduced
power (4W/0.5W) settings are also available for even longer operating time.
* Typical operation with Tx: Rx: standby=1:1:8.
An external DC power jack allows for operation when used with the
external DC power supply (11.0V DC).
Your IC-V85/E receives and transmits as it charges.
The water resistant construction, equivalent to IPX4 rating, provides reliable operation in wet conditions for practical outdoor usage.
Up to 107 memory channels can be stored. Use the 5-character display capabilities to assign your own individual channel names, then store those channels in any of the 10 memory banks. The DMS (Dynamic Memory Scan) system allows you to scan selected memory banks by simply adding and deleting bank links.
Built-in CTCSS/DTCS tone codes provide quiet stand-by and allows you to
use tone-access repeaters.
The pocket beep alerts you when a matching tone frequency is received. The
tone scan detects the tone frequency used in the received signal.
16 DTMF memory channels with up to 24 DTMF codes enable you to perform
remote control operation.
The optional DTMF decoder unit, UT-108, provides code squelch operation and
pager function.

Comfortably sized, with ample receive audio Extra power when you want it, or opt for more power with optional Ni-Cd battery packs – up to 6 watts! Take this go-anywhere sized dual bander on the road and grab more power from any convenience store, grocery store, etc. A full 500 mW (typical) of AF is output from the transceiver's speaker-audio that's easy to copy even in noisy environments.
Tested to strict MIL standards, yet is compact The IC-T7Hsport is durably
constructed for reliable operation you can count on in the most demanding
environments. In fact, it has been tested to and passed the MIL-STD
requirements and strict environmental standards for shock and vibration (MIL
810C, D, E). And its compact dimensions of 57(W) × 122(H) × 29(D) mm*
mean you can comfortably carry it around in a small bag or even your shirt
pocket!
*21⁄4 (W) × 413⁄16
(H) × 11⁄8 (D) in.
A simple band switching system, single push action and thumb-touch lock switches make operation straight-forward and convenient — even for beginners. Additionally, channel indication mode simplifies operation even further and is great for when operating in a group situation.
A separate CTCSS tone encoder and CTCSS tone encoder/decoder are standard (38 standard EIA tones and 12 others for even quieter standby). Full programmable band scans and all/band select memory scans provide versatile signal searching. The tone scan function allows you to easily find the subaudible tone needed to access a repeater or to decode a tone squelch signal; the pocket beep function acts like a 'common pager' and alerts you when a matched CTCSS tone frequency is received.

The commercial grade IC-T90A transceiver offers a wideband AM, FM, and WFM scanning receiver. Not only you can hear your favorite TV programs with the pre-programmed TV memories, but also you can listen to shortwave, AM and FM broadcast radio stations with good sound quality. Fire, aircraft and various amateur bands also can be tuned.
With 555 alphanumeric memory channels, including 50 band edges and 5 call
channels, Icom's DMS technology gives you flexible scanning lists. With a
maximum of 18 banks or 100 channels per bank,
you can pick and choose the desired channel for scanning from the 500
memories.
Enjoy a full 5 watts from the supplied 1300mAh Lithium-Ion battery pack,
BP-217. Along with the energy conserving settings, the BP-217 provides up to
5 to 6 hours* of operating
time and greatly reduces both the size and weight needed to get full output
power. Just recharge and go!
* Tx high: Rx: Stand-by duty ratio= 1: 1: 8
This compact radio is comfortable in the smallest of hands, and offers
full radio control for large fingers. The aluminum die-cast case and chassis
is designed for the most rugged environments with splash resistance
equivalent to JIS 4 specifications.

A standard feature of the IC-T90A is both DTCS and CTCSS encode and decode capability. Choose from either 104 DTCS or 50 CTCSS codes for receive and transmit, individually. In addition, a pocket beep function gives you an audio alert when a matched tone signal is received__a great feature for quiet, group operations.
Simple, one-handed operation is the most valuable feature of the IC-T90A. The backlit ten-key pad allows you to enter frequency, memory number and set various other features. The tuning knob can be customized for either channel selection, or volume control.

The function guidance is labeled on the 16 buttons. It's easy to manage all of the functions equipped on the IC-V8 by pushing the Function key and shortcut keys. In addition, a channel number or an operating frequency can be entered from the keypad directly.
The V8 Sport does not come with a battery pack. It also comes with a case for AA Alkaline batteries.
Channel selection, volume and squelch functions can be assigned to either the up/down switches or to the rotary selector.
Letters and numeral character names provide easy recognition of each channel. S-meter, output power, power save, keylock, tone and duplex setting icons show various operating status at glance.
Up to 100 of your favorite frequency settings (including channel name, tone, output power and repeater offset) can be stored in the memory. Furthermore, one call channel provides one touch channel access for a frequently used frequency.
50 CTCSS and 104×2 DTCS tone squelch operation codes (encode and decode) provide quiet standby and allow you repeater access. A pocket beep alerts you of a call and a tone scan can detect the sub-audible tone in use in the receiving signals.
5 DTMF memory channels with up to 24 DTMF codes allow remote operation. The optional UT-108 DTMF decoder unit provides code squelch operation as well as a pager function.

The optional UT-118 provides D-STAR format digital voice and slow data communiation. The UT-118 includes the following digital features.
In the digital mode, your callsign and the receiving callsign (or CQ message) are included in each transmission. The callsign squelch allows you to choose an incoming call selected by the callsign. Also, received callsigns are automatically stored in the memory.
When connected to an external GPS receiver*,
position information can be exchanged with other stations. When the
receiving side is connected to a PC**,
position monitoring is possible.
* NMEA 0183 output and RS-232C interface are
required.
** Position mapping software required (Not supplied by Icom ).
20-character short data message
A powerful 7W* output power provides
superior transmit power. All this power is available with the supplied
battery pack. Reduced power settings also allow you to adapt to the
communication conditions and provide longer operating time.
* 5W for UHF.
Up to 200 regular memory channels can be stored with a 6-character channel name, tone and duplex settings. The memory channels can be tagged with A-J bank name and allows you easy channel management. In addition, use Icom’s exclusive DMS (Dynamic Memory Scan) system to scan selected memory banks by simply adding and deleting blank links.
Built-in CTCSS/DTCS tone codes provide quiet stand-by and allow you to access a closed repeater. The pocket beep alerts you when a matched tone frequency is received. The tone scan detects the tone frequency used in the receiving frequency.
